Description of the property

Just around the corner from Linter town hall, we discover Hoeve Vertenten, a square farmstead dating from before 1748, which forms part of the village center of Orsmaal.
The originally L-shaped farmstead bears witness to centuries of agricultural tradition in this fertile region, where generations of farmers made their living among the rolling hills of the Hageland. The brick buildings surrounding the cobbled courtyard tell the story of a working farm. The house on the right was added in the 1960s, which means that most of the volume visible from the street dates from the 20th century.
Although the farm does not have official heritage status—it is not listed as a protected monument, village view, or architectural heritage site—the municipality of Linter does recognize the value of this ensemble. After all, the typical farm architecture contributes to the authentic character of the village center of Orsmaal. It is precisely this tension between heritage value and development opportunities that makes this project so interesting. Next to the farm, there has also been a vacant house in the nearby Kapelstraat for several years. By combining both plots in the study, the development opportunities increase considerably.
